NASSTRAC
has announced the appointment of Brian Everett as the Association‚s
executive director. Everett, who has extensive experience in association
management and nearly 20 years of marketing and management experience
in the North American transportation industry, will be responsible
for managing the daytoday operations of NASSTRAC, the implementation
of the Association's strategic business plan, association marketing,
membership growth, and event management.
Everett, who also serves as the executive director for the Transportation
Marketing & Communications Association (TMCA), is senior partner
of MindShare Strategies, Inc., a marketing and management firm based
in Minneapolis. NASSTRAC also has retained MindShare Strategies to
provide association management services. NASSTRAC's executive office
will be relocated from Washington, D.C. to Waconia, Minn., near Minneapolis.
NASSTRAC will continue to maintain its Washington presence with the
representation by attorney John Cutler of the Firm of McCarthy, Sweeney
& Harkaway who has been affiliated with the Association for many
years.
NASSTRAC has also appointed Denny Grim as executive producer for
the association, who will be involved in increasing membership by
shippers, carriers and industry suppliers. Grim, who is executive
producer for Business To Business Communications, Inc., has more than
25 years of experience in marketing and communications in the logistics
industry and has considerable association leadership experience with
such organizations as The Traffic Club of Chicago, the Intermodal
Association of North America, the American Society of Transportation
& Logistics, and TMCA.
Founded in 1952, NASSTRAC is the only shippers' association in the
nation focused on essential transportation and supply chain activities.
