Manager of Truckload Brokerage

TranzAct Technologies is an industry leader in freight payment, audit, and logistics and has an exciting opportunity for a full time candidate to provide leadership to our 3rd party brokerage. We offer 3rd party truckload, bulk LTL and a unique 1st party LTL service offering to our customers. These offerings along with top notch reporting software, freight payment and audit set us apart from the competition.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide sales leadership – growing sales with existing accounts, finding new accounts, and developing a sales team to find new opportunities. Oversee the business development process by managing prospecting, quoting and closing of new freight brokerage business
  • Responsible for the operational functions – day to day operations, selection, hiring and training of new staff members, providing best in class customer service
  • Respond to Truckload bids and assist in response to RFP’s, when required
  • Migrate to a new Truckload TMS program that has been developed by TranzAct’s IT developers


  • Proven ability to grow revenues and manage costs
  • Proven ability to sell and close new business
  • Ability to understand the TMS platform and identify areas for improvement
  • 5 plus years of management experience leading a Brokerage inside sales and operational team
  • Previous experience as a truckload and/or LTL freight broker, a plus
  • Must have strong knowledge of truckload pricing models and current market rates
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
  • Established carrier relationships plus the ability to develop new ones as well as cultivate existing ones on behalf of our clients
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
